Pavel Bure, Alexander Mogilny, Sergei Zubov, and Sergei Fedorov, Gold  medalist 
at 1989 World Junior Championship. Coaching Experience
(1994-2006) including Junior Players and 2001 first overall NHL draft pick
- Ilya Kovalchuck.

championship gold medallist (2000), silver medallist (2001, 1999, 1998).
Golden Puck Award (Best Player of National Hockey League Europe - Denmark
in 2001). Voted in top five players of National League Denmark in 1996-

As a member of the Soviet Wings toured USA and Canada, including games vs.
New York Ranges, New York Islanders, Montreal Canadians, Hartford Whalers
and Quebec Nordiques.

Junior Championship (Anchorage, USA), USSR Junior National Team. Team

Coach:  Ken Hoey

Ken  is returning to the Junior Royals team for the 2010-2011  season.   Ken has been a coach in the Long Island Royals Youth Hockey system for the past nine years.   Prior to the Royals Ken coached professional hockey in Italy with the Val Rendena Wolves and coached two years at the Junior A level in Bismarck North Dakota with the Bismarck Bullets.    Ken played Division I  hockey at Kent State University and then two years of professional hockey in the East Coast Hockey League and the All American Hockey League.

 

Coach:  Valeri  Zelepukin

Former NHL player, Stanley Cup Champion, Olympic Silver Medalist with the
Russian National Team. Program Director for Florida Districts.  Valeri
played for the New Jersey Devils, Edmunton Oilers,  Philadelphia Flyers,
and the Chicago Blackhawks.   Valeri  won the Stanley Cup with the New
Jersey Devils in 1995.

Prior to his NHL career Valeri played with Khimik in the Soviet league and
toured NHL cities with his club team in 1989, 1990 and 1991. In
International Hockey he represented the Soviet Union at the 1988 World
Junior Hockey Championship and at the 1991 World Hockey Championship. He
was also a member of the Russian team during the 1996 World Cup of Hockey
and the 1998 Olympic Games, where he was a silver medalist.

 

Coach:  - Tony Colombo

Tony will be returning to the Junior Royals for the 2009-2010 season.  Tony played professional hockey in the Central Hockey League  with the Memphis River Kings,  the  South East Blades,  and Winkler Flyers in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.  Tony had  elected himself as the 2008-09 best dressed coach however lost that title in 2009-10 to Dan Talia.
